Moorings & Facilities

Moorings - The club has over 200 mooring spaces with most moorings owned and maintained by members. Moorings in the most popular areas (deep water moorings in the lee of the castle and closest to the slipway) are usually subject to a waiting list. A small number of these moorings have now been changed to serviced moorings at a premium. The club also has 40+ fore-and-aft pile moorings that are owned and maintained by the club, available at a premium.The club has over 200 mooring spaces with most moorings owned and maintained by members. The club also has 40+ fore-and-aft pile moorings that are owned and maintained by the club, available at a premium. For more detail see chart below.

Shoreside Pontoon - Accessible for around 2 hours either side of high tide, providing easy access for loading/unloading kit

Boat Tender Storage - Storage of boat tenders is available in the compound throughout the year. The tenders must be left in the allocated slots when in the compound to ensure no interference with other activities.

Outboard Storage - Storage of outboards is available in the compound throughout the year.

Derrick - for stepping masts.

Boat Lifting - A club owned submersible boat list service with a capacity of 12 tons is available for hire, under the control of the boat lift team, to transfer boats between the water and yard for cruiser lay-up. It is also available fo mid-season scrub off and emergency lift out.

Cruiser lay-up - The club provides facilities for land based storage up to 32 feet (36 feet on request depending on availability) during the winter season, commencing in October until early April. Applications to be placed on the waiting list for cruiser winter storage should be made to the Boatswain.
