Trial membership - Sailing, Kayaking & SUPs / Angling

Try watersports in a club setting this season with a 3-month Trial Membership. If you like the Club, you can convert to Full membership after the trial; and we will continue to support you in your development.

Introduction

3-months Trial Membership is £39 (including joining fee) for an adult or couple, together with their children aged 18 years or younger.

There are two pathways:

• Existing sailors/kayakers/paddleboarders are able to join in with their choice of club activities. Store your own boats/boards at the Club free of charge during the Trial membership.

• Get Afloat sessions are for the new or improving sailors, SUPs or kayakers. We also include gig rowing

What The Club offers to you

We are a family friendly club in a beautiful location next to Portchester Castle, with access to superb conditions for sailing and paddling.

Here are some of the facilities at the Club:

1. Bar and Galley with waterside frontage
2. Changing rooms/toilets
3. Private slipway and pontoon
4. Club boat / SUP hire (subject to conditions, including experience)
5. Storage of your own dinghy in our secure compound, at no cost during the trial
6. Subject to your skills, take part in other Club activities
7. Social events
8. Carparking on-site
   
9. Children can take part in Cadet Club training and activities and are eligible to join Summer Club week and the Easter training
10. Fishermans' Roost (basic kitchen)
11. Dogs (under control) are welcome on-site

What to bring

If you are new to watersports, you need to know what to bring:

1. Wetsuit
2. buoyancy aid
3. (optional) helmet
4. spray top
5. Close toed footwear: old trainers or wetsuit boots
6. Towel and change of clothes for afterwards
7. Water bottle, suncream , hat, sunglasses
