Women on the Water
Women on the Water is Portchester Sailing Club's newest initiative, designed to encourage more female members to get involved in both on-the-water activities and club social events in a friendly, supportive, and empowering environment.
Whether you're completely new to sailing and paddlesports or have years of experience, these sessions provide a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, develop skills, try something new, and most importantly, enjoy time on the water with other like-minded women.

Safety and support are at the heart of every session. We provide full RIB safety cover on the water, alongside experienced and competent members who are always happy to help those who are less experienced. Participants have access to a wide range of club equipment, including dinghies, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, the gig rowing boat, and RIB powerboats.
The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Members have enjoyed meeting new people, spending time on the water together, and having the opportunity to try activities they may never have considered before, all within a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere.
If you love being on the water, would like to get afloat more often, build your confidence, or simply meet other female members of the club, we'd love you to join us.
Book onto a session and come along you'll receive a warm welcome, make new friends, and have plenty of fun along the way.
